Education Fund

Since 2002, Handreach has been offering $200 education grants to improve schools for helping students gain access to quality education. Qualified applicants must verify that they will deliver 100% of the funds to the intended target school or students.

Once the grant is approved and distributed to the applicants, HandReach expects feedback and follow-up in the form of photos, letters, or expense receipts to show the return on investment at the target school. the best applicants are students, scholars, or professionals currently studying, working or traveling in the U.S. and are originally graduated from or connected to schools targeted to receive the funds.

HandReach is working to provide education for world-class medical and reconstructive care for children suffering from major burn trauma injuries. We are networking hospitals around the world via telemedicine, training programs, and joint clinics to bring state-of-the-art reconstructive surgery, prosthetics, equipment, physical and occupational therapy, and psychosocial therapy to pediatric trauma survivors at no cost to them or their families. Our goal is to improve the quality of these children's lives and help them realize their potential as fully participating members of society.

Many schools and children's lives were devastated by the Sichuan earthquake of May 12, 2008. We are working to reconstruct schools and bring world-class prosthetics and physical therapy to the young survivors so they may recover and prosper.
